Tonight, I am canning apple pie filling and making a test pumpkin cheesecake. I am testing the recipe for a desert contest. I've never baked a cheesecake before and I am afraid to see how many ways I can mess it up. I've also never canned- so this may be a long evening. I should have made better plans for the apples that Julie and I picked. I will know better next year.

Hey, I read some of your twitter responses and I have to say that I am really proud of you for continuing to stand for what you believe in and our country. I can't believe there are actually "Americans" out there in favor of socialism. Crazy. They really ought to read the Declaration of Independence, and if they still don't like it, move!!!!! Stay strong!
